Born and raised in Virginia, LM Fox currently lives in a suburb of Richmond with her husband, three kids, and a chocolate lab.
Her pastimes are traveling to new and favorite places, trying new foods, a swoony book with either a good cup of tea or coffee, margaritas on special occasions, and watching her kids participate in a variety of sports.
She has spent the majority of her adult life working in emergency medicine and her books are written in this setting. Her main characters are typically in the medical field, EMS, fire, and/or law enforcement. She enjoys writing angsty, contemporary romance starring headstrong, independent heroines you can’t help but love and the hot alpha men who fall hard for them.
Sebastian Lee may still be cocky,
but he’s no longer a playboy.
While he’s utterly devoted to Isabella and her son Austin,
relationships are alien to him. He’s about to learn
his arrogant days with women are over.
Life’s challenges have caused this ex-surgeon to reassess his future,
but one thing is certain. He can’t live without either of them.

How things have changed. No longer am I the shark looking to claim his next mate.
There’s no successful surgical career. I’ve given up my well controlled life,
preferring instead to let Bella steer this ship.
Yet I’m also no longer watching the world go by without being a part of it.
I’m surrounded by a dog that sheds, a child who paints on walls,
and a woman who tells me how things are going to be.
And I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Now I just need to convince this strong-willed minx to marry me.
This can be read as a stand-alone, contemporary romance.
However, it’s best enjoyed after reading The Bitter Rival.

“Shit, how have I not seen this before?” I chuckle. “I haven’t made it past the first twenty minutes of this movie, and I already can’t wait to tie you up and try some BDSM fuckery.”
“Oh. My. God.” Bella laughs.
“What? The tension in that office scene? It reminded me of the night I met you.”
“Well, one… that would’ve been a short movie because I fell under your spell in a hot minute. And two… you’re always ready to go. Movie or not. You’d want to get it on even if you had the flu.” She giggles.
I knew full well my willpower would never outlast this movie with her. Fuck, I barely made it through dinner. I kept wanting to suck the runaway cheese from her fingers. Luckily, she was okay with watching this movie in bed. I hope she’s just as good with an obstructed view.
Rolling on top of her, I groan as I take her mouth with mine. Letting go of all the concerns of the last few days, I put all of my energy into connecting with her the way we do best. “Fuck, you make me crazy.” I drop my lips to her throat, and trail open-mouth kisses down to her collarbone. Licking it, I slide the spaghetti strap of her gown down her shoulder before exposing her tantalizing breast. Her dusky pink nipple is firm and calling to me. A small mew escapes her as I suck and tug on it, lifting the hem of her gown with my hand to find out if she’s wearing any panties. As my hand grazes bare, smooth skin, I moan. “Ah, that’s my good girl.”
She laughs underneath me, and I release her nipple, curious as to what she finds so amusing. “You haven’t had sex in three days and wanted to watch Fifty Shades of Grey. I’m not sure why I even put the gown on.”
Facts.
She allows me to remove said gown, raising her hips for me as I lift it over her head. I waste no time dipping my fingers into her swollen, wet pussy. I can practically feel my mouth watering. Jumping from the bed, the movie all but forgotten about, I remove my boxers before returning to nestle between her thighs to feast on her. I have no doubt I’ll be on edge afterward and need to slide into her without any obstacles in my way.
As I swipe my tongue through her sweet folds, Bella’s pelvis bucks into me. I inwardly laugh at her eagerness. At least it wasn’t just me all week. Giving her what she needs, I bury my face in her sweet body and lick and tongue fuck her until she’s wriggling uncontrollably.
“Uh, GG?” I place my hand flat on her lower belly.
“What?” She pants. Her breaths sound impatient for this conversation to be over.
“I know I have a magic tongue, but if you don’t control yourself, you’re going to knock a tooth out.”
I’m a married mother of three living on the East Coast of the U.S. I’ve worked in emergency medicine as a physician assistant the majority of my adult life, and my books are typically written in this setting. I write steamy, contemporary romance with characters who are in the medical/EMS, firefighting, and law enforcement sectors. I enjoy crafting stories about everyday heroes, particularly feisty, independent heroines and the bad boy alphas who fall hard for them. I started writing to escape my high stress work life.
I’m a plotter. I take scenarios from real life, often from my medical career, and weave in characters.
Watch my kids in their sports activities
I actually celebrate with my covers. They’re like my gift wrap.
I don’t really have a set celebration routine. My family usually goes out to dinner and I enjoy a frosty margarita.
This particular book is the follow up to The Bitter Rival which was written about an orthopedic hand surgeon I once worked with. He was a happily married man, but many of the events in the book happened in real life.

Yes, I use real people in my books
This book was magical. The most challenging part was the inclusion of a teen on the autism spectrum. He was written based on my cousin, but I still enlisted the help of multiple sensitivity readers to ensure I got this right.
All of it. This book practically wrote itself.
TL Swan is my biggest inspiration.
She doesn’t answer. I thought she’d be able to get past this. That she’d see I was trying to do a good thing. Even if I should’ve talked to her first and maybe not brought money into it. Man, I’m a fuck up at this shit.
“I’ve accepted that he’ll never really be mine. Not that way. But I swear, I’ll provide for him and do everything else a father should. He might not be my son on paper, but he’ll never want for anything.” My heart squeezes. I couldn’t love Austin more if he was my flesh and blood. “I guess I just wanted the whole thing.” My voice comes out broken. The weight of my feelings for this young man have taken a toll.
All of a sudden, my heart feels like it’s breaking as I watch tears fall from Bella’s eyes. “Baby, baby.” I try to soothe her. “I never wanted to upset you. In my irrational mind, I thought I was doing something good. Hell, I’d grown up with a biological father and still felt like an orphan. I only wanted Austin to have everything I could give him. But I see now, adoption doesn’t have to happen for me to be a father to him.”
Bella stands, and I start to panic. Shit. This went much better in my head. But before I can let my feelings get away from me, she’s sitting in my lap and cupping my cheeks.
“You are his father, Sebastian. In all the ways that count.”
Sebastian: I’m proud of you for how far you’ve come. One time playboy, now devoted husband and father.
